The Pochi Silk Project is helping to rebuild the silk industry in Chin State, one of the most beautiful parts of Myanmar but also one of the poorest. Your purchase helps to increase the daily income of the farmers and weavers in that area and means they can stay close to home and work amongst family and friends.
Pochi farmers are harvesting mulberry and rearing silkworms to produce the area's first silk threads in over 30 years. Pochi silk masks are then woven by hand on traditional looms by weavers, who we also train and support.
